I’m Ellie Coggins, a copywriter, editor, and digital storyteller based in Cincinnati, Ohio.

A self-proclaimed “word nerd,” I aim to use my love of words to inform, delight, and simplify big ideas into concepts that are easier to understand.

My passion for stories & language started as a child with a love of reading fictional books and continued into undergrad, where I chose to study English literature at the University of Cincinnati. It then took me to Syracuse, N.Y., where I completed my master’s degree at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications in magazine, newspaper, and online journalism in the summer of 2019.

Today, I’m the managing editor of EC&M magazine, and I run my own freelancing business called Coggins Creative Content. I freelance a wide variety of creative services, ranging from copywriting, copyediting/proofreading, podcast/video editing, content creation, social media management, and more. When I’m not editing, writing, or pursuing a story, you can find me reading, gaming, cooking up new recipes, planning my next trip, or hanging out with my husband, Erik, and our rescue pup, Addie.
